Berlin, Germany/ Laguna Hills, CA, USA – Jan, 2006 – HOLOEYE Photonics AG and its US-subsidary, HOLOEYE Corp will introduce the new generation of Spatial Light Modulators with HDTV resolution at the Photonics West 2006 exhibition in San Jose, CA, USA.

HOLOEYE´s new LC-R 1080 Spatial Light Modulator is based on a reflective LCoS (Liquid-Crystal-on-Silicon) microdisplay with full WUXGA/HDTV resolution (1920 x 1200 Pixel). With a pixel pitch of only 8.1 µm, the very high light efficiency based on the reflective structure of the microdisplay, an image frame rate of 60 HZ via DVI and the HDTV resolution, the LC-R 1080 leaves nothing to be desired.

The LC-R 1080 Spatial Light Modulator can be used to modulate coherent or incoherent light spatially in amplitude and phase. Applications range from imaging and projection, over programmable phase masks e.g. beam splitting and beam steering to holographic applications.

Very long flex extensions and the very small display size makes integration into optical systems easy.

Additionally HOLOEYE offers a great variety of Spatial Light Modulators for various applications containing modulators based on a special phase modulation display suitable for pure phase only modulation above 2 Pi.

HOLOEYE Photonics AG is providing services and products in the fields of diffractive optics (Diffractive Optical Elements -DOE), Spatial Light Modulators (based on reflective or translucent microdisplays) and a great variety of OEM microdisplay components in higher quantities.

HOLOEYE will exhibit their products at the Photonics West 2006 (24-26 January) in San Jose, Booth No: #5093.
