"But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die." (Genesis: 2:17) "There was a scandal in Paradise," says author and researcher, R.D. Valenti. "The forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden wasn't an apple and the original sin mankind passes from one generation to the next isn't simple disobedience.'

Science has traced the origins of humankind to one mother, and not one, but two fathers. Who was the other man? Before God created Adam, he created other living creatures. Among them was the serpent. "Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made." (Genesis: 3:1) The clever beast known as the serpent possessed the power of speech. Other ancient literature says he was as tall as a camel and hairy. He was the one who tempted Eve, and subsequently Adam, to taste the fruit that exposed their nakedness and brought death to their offspring. In addition, by their act of disobedience the seed of the woman was bruised in the head and the seed of the serpent was bruised in the heel. Only the adulteration of substance can account for this outcome. The strange fruit in the Garden of Eden was forbidden flesh. The sin of our first parents was adultery. Their forbidden unions produced beings with a new genetic code; one combining strength with weakness and advanced intelligence with primitive intelligence. A new breed of man was born; a hybrid having knowledge of both good and evil, life and death. For one species of man there was a great leap forward; for the other, a great fall.

Read more about the scandal and the coverup in Valenti's book, 'Sacred Illusions - A Journey into the Dream You Live'. Other Biblical mysteries are also addressed in this fictional story whose main characters are Sophie, a seeker of truth, and Walking Man, a Native American wandering shaman. It is the author's intention to shed new light on a variety of intriguing subjects and secret knowledge from Pre-Genesis to Armageddon.
