June 4, 2015 - Hadley, MI - A new workshop titled, "Neurotransmitters in Health and Disease" will be presented at the next monthly meeting of the Genesee/Lapeer/N.Oakland (GLO) MI Chapter of the Weston A. Price Foundation. This will take place at the Hadley Old Town Hall located at 3551 Hadley Rd., Hadley MI 48440 (Just south of the intersection of Pratt & Hadley Rd., in downtown Hadley).

This month Dr. Mark Morningstar, DC, PhD, of the Natural Wellness & Pain Relief Center in Grand Blanc will be talking about neurotransmitters, the brain and gut chemicals that communicate information throughout our brain and body. The brain uses neurotransmitters to tell your heart to beat, your lungs to breathe, and your stomach to digest; neurotransmitters also determine your moods. There is a $5 suggested donation fee for this talk. All donations will benefit the GLO chapter. According to Dr. Morningstar, "this workshop is specifically geared towards helping people understand the origin of their symptoms, and not just covering them up or micromanaging them. Testing for neurotransmitter imbalances clinically is very easy, and provides a plethora of information on health status." Dr. Morningstar says that even those with complex diseases often benefit from this testing when other treatments have failed. The meeting will begin promptly at 1:30 pm with library return activities and farm sales taking place before and after the meeting.

Dr. Morningstar has been in practice for 13 years at the Natural Wellness & Pain Relief Centers of Michigan, one of the first integrative medicine clinics in Michigan to offer comprehensive traditional medicine, pain management, anti-aging medicine, chiropractic, and functional medicine services. There he serves as the Director of Chiropractic Rehabilitation and Neurology. Dr. Morningstar provides comprehensive chiropractic rehabilitation and functional medicine strategies for complex spine and neurological disorders such as Scoliosis, Lyme Disease, and Fibromyalgia/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
