The new album from the Jolly Lamas is sensitive, witty, smart, passionate and heavy at times. Just what you're looking for in a girl… uhh, i mean band.

With the Jolly Lamas, what you hear is what you get. There's no studio magic here. The band is very proud that they wrote, recorded and engineered this album entirely in their garage using only the bare minimum in studio gear - ensure that the songs would remain fresh, raw and passionate.

Similar to their highly acclaimed first album 'Two Seconds to the Moon' - Coming Back, offers a deeper insight into the life experiences and observational thoughts of Benjamin Jacobs. Lead singer and songwriter.

Building upon various influences from "old school rock" to contemporaries like Wilco, Fountains of Wayne and Nirvana, The Jolly Lamas bring to life the "observations and diary of Ben Jacobs." Which strangely enough, is almost an exact copy of everyone else's. Even yours.

In songs such as 'Coming Back', we eaves drop on someone's journey through life discovering the best of life was somewhere at the beginning. (how did we lose our way?)

In 'Mary Jane', we learn of an unpopular schoolgirl who in spite of being different is really wiser than us all, by being comfortable being herself.

While in 'King of the World', we meet a girl with a silver tooth, and black boots (to match her heart) that if you look at wrong, would first kick your ass, then burn down the place! This song is what rock and roll is all about and has HIT written all over it!

In the song 'Smoke' we are led through the headlines with political, emotional and spiritual struggles. According to Ben Jacobs (the songwriter) This song is about the decline of Western civilization.. pretty heavy, but the truly amazing thing is that you end up singing along.

In 'Better part of me' the lamas paint a beautiful picture of higher purpose and put into perspective who we really are, and how feeble we all are.

The album Coming Back by the Jolly Lamas provides a rare insight into a master visual songwriter who has provided an untamed and uninhibited musical foundation, to capture their own emotions in their truest form.

You can get your copy of their new CD at CDBABY, Amazon, Tower Records online and itunes
