The gallery features lesser known sights in the countryside and gives a fair indication of what to expect when traveling by motorbike to lesser known destinations.
It is a welcome addition to a site which already provides up to date travel information, travel stories, maps and local gossip.
The main galleries are from Jim at California 2 Guesthouse who is a fountain of knowledge about trips off the main tourist trail.
This is an important area for Cambodia tourism, as every area of Cambodia is now safe to travel to, but most people have little idea about what to see and what to expect whilst getting there. New temples are being discovered every week in a country, where most records were destroyed under the Khmer Rouge but has a historically rich past.
Jim has a personal mission to find and photograph these sites thus bringing them to the attention of the general public who normally only see the temples of Angkor. He normally tries to do a motorcycle trip every month with friends or guests to explore areas of interest. His biggest source of information is local villagers who are always eager to share their local knowledge with people exploring the countryside.
The gallery will be further expanded in the near future with sections from other photographers and a special section of stunning photos featuring all the main points of interest for tourists. All contributors are more than welcome, in a bid to provide the largest collection of photos about Cambodia on the web.
