New Kensington, Pennsylvania –Whitaker House, this year, celebrates 35 years of publishing contemporary and classic Christian literature for the Christian retailing industry.

From its humble December 1970 beginning in the garage of founder and President Robert E. Whitaker Sr., Whitaker House has experienced tremendous growth, and is now housed in custom-built offices, including a 135,000 sq. foot warehouse distributing over 18,000 different products.

Immense strides have been made since publication of Whitaker’s first book, titled It Can Happen to Anybody, by Russ Bixler (founder and CEO of Cornerstone Television). While Whitaker Sr. accepted his mission to share the gospel with others, only God knew that the production of that one book would grow to include the production and distribution of books by some of today’s best-selling authors, including Myles Munroe, George Bloomer, Mary Baxter, Larry Huch, and others.

Whitaker House authors have appeared on some of the nations top Christian and secular networks, from CNN to CBN, and on broadcasts such as Benny Hinn’s Manna from Heaven and Joyce Meyer’s Enjoying Everyday Life.

In September 2004, Whitaker House launched Whitaker Entertainment, the company’s new multimedia division, which produces and distributes CDs, VHS, and DVDs. Of its many artists, Whitaker Entertainment proudly represents Double Stellar Award nominee Lil iROCC and world-renowned worship leader Darrell Evans, best known for his titles “Trading My Sorrows” and “Let the River Flow.”

The commemoration of the 35th anniversary of Whitaker House begins at this year’s CBA Advance, where retailers will find special discounts on select products, as well as the new “Faith Builders Value Line” featuring discounted promotional items.

Join us in celebrating 35 years of turning hearts towards God, one soul at a time!
