October 17, 2015 - "Do We Have to Go There…Again?!?," a new book by David J. Stiklaitis, has been released by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc.

"Do We Have to Go There…Again?!?" recounts the author's memories of visiting his parent's hometown of Mt. Carmel, Pennsylvania, in the 1950s and '60s. As a member of the Baby Boom generation, Mr. Stiklaitis came to appreciate the unique characteristics of his childhood, shaped in many ways by the multi-generational relationships he formed. Here, he details the lives of two families, intertwined through marriage and connected by the sense of community that grew up around American immigrants of the time. His vivid memories paint a portrait of the period, one filled with treasured icons, solid furniture, and loving relatives.

"Do We Have to Go There…Again?!?" reflects the experiences of a particular time, but it also encourages readers to cultivate and treasure their own memories and to appreciate how the connections of our youth shape our adult lives.

He enjoys art, antiques, trivia, and vacations to unique and quirky destinations. Mr. Stiklaitis is a devoted animal lover and a landscape artist. He continues to relish the joys of small town living.
