Postings.com Unveils Interview Questions for Job Postings

The new option improves the quality of the candidates by filtering and scoring the applicants based on their answers to the questions added by companies.

"This is a huge improvement over the standard job posting that most companies buy. Adding questions helps rank the candidates against each other, moving the best scoring candidates to the top and eliminating candidates that answer "knockout" questions incorrectly," stated Mike O'Brien, Postings.com's CEO.

The ability to ask applicants questions draws in better recruits by screening out unqualified applicants. Recruiters save time and money because they do not have to deal with information from parties who never would have been considered in the first place. For example, if the ability to code HTML is a requirement for the position, then only people with that skill are included in the applicant pool, based on their answers to the questions.

The new feature appears on a simple online form during the application process. After the candidate has entered their information, they answer a series of questions relevant to the position.

Recruiters can ask three types of questions: yes or no, multiple choice and freeform responses. It is up to the hiring manager whether or not the questionnaire is mandatory for the hiring process. Ask up to ten questions. Use "knockout" questions to automatically pass on candidates who answer incorrectly. The system will score each applicant and force rank them against each other. This data can be viewed online, by email and on a printable PDF file.

Since its conception in 2007, the website has risen to become one of the best places to post jobs online.
