February 25, 2016 - "Mommy's Home," a new book by Denise Zaffuto, has been released by RoseDog Books.

Pneumothorax!!! Wow! What is that? It's a collapsed lung. How about 46 of them and counting! How does a mother explain to her children that her extremely rare medical condition is unfixable? How is it affecting her five-year-old son and seven-year-old daughter? In this book, you will experience a snapshot of how mom's disease affects the lives of her two children.

About the Author:
Denise Zaffuto has always loved to write! Her dream was to someday write children's books, but never did she imagine it would be about herself and her never-ending illness. The roots of this book came when she was home out of work from her most adored job, being an elementary school teacher. As a teacher, she knew there weren't many children's books out that entail experiences from a child's point of view and how their innocent minds, at a young age, think that a doctor can "fix" anyone.

As Denise witnessed the confusion and sadness upon her own children's faces concerning her disease, it sparked her to write this book. With every lung collapse she faces, her family faces it too. Together, they have all managed to get through them thus far! Her faith in God and love for her family keeps her strong.

"Mommy's Home" is a 30-page paperback with a retail price of $15.00. The ISBN is 978-1-4809-1702-6. It was published by RoseDog Books of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
