The State Street Players, a Doylestown-based community theater organization, announce their 27th annual show, I’ll Dig a Stairway to Paradise, on the first three weekends of March: March 3-4, 10-11, and 17-18, 2006.

State Street Players have writing and staging their variety show for 27 years. All performers are Doylestown-area residents who write and choreograph all skits themselves.

This year's show—titled I'll Dig a Stairway to Paradise—features several songs from the hit musical, Wicked, a new twist on classic songs from Barry Manilow, and a wide variety of beloved Broadway tunes, including "When You're Good To Mama" from Chicago, "Sing" from A Chorus Line, "Everything's Coming Up Roses" from Gypsy, and "Bring Him Home" from Les Miserables.

Songs are interspersed with comedy skits, heavy on physical and satirical humor.

State Street Players shows are held at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel School auditorium, 225 East Ashland Street, Doylestown, PA.

Show time is at 8 pm; gates open at 7 pm each night. Tickets are available by calling 215-348-3150 or visiting www.StateStreetPlayers.org.
