Ignite! Tampa Bay 2016 Returns in June to the Historic Cuban Club Theatre

April 26, 2016 - Tampa, Fla. – April 26, 2016 – The fast-paced event filled with fast paced 5 minute talks known as Ignite Tampa Bay comes back to the historic Cuban Club Theatre in Ybor City on June 30th. Speaker submissions go live today on the website at http://ignitetampa.org

Technova Florida, Inc. is pleased to announce the Co-Chairs of this years' event Taylor Wallace and Joy Randels. "We are very excited to have Taylor lead the event this year," said Randels, a Technova board member who has previously led the event. "Taylor has spoken at Ignite twice, he understands the significance of the event to the community and we know he will lead with energy and passion." Wallace, who is the Cofounder of local startup, WeVue added, "I am excited to get more people from the community involved. Be on the lookout for upcoming announcements about our evening's emcee and our first speakers."

Ignite Tampa Bay made its first appearance in 2010 and has continued to grow with sellout crowds for the past three years. Ignite! talks are meant to spark creativity, conversation, and action in cities across the world. The Ignite! Tampa Bay talks have ranged from the importance of STEM education, to indie books and film, an American Ninja Warrior who finished his talk walking a slack line on stage, the IIFA Awards complete with a Bollywood dance routine, to a 14-year-old girl explaining the importance of the Girls Inc. program in her life after losing her mother to suicide at age four.

Ignite! Tampa Bay is real people sharing their views and passion with the community to enlighten and inspire others. The public is encouraged to apply to speak about their passion. Each speaker is given 20 slides that auto-advance every 15 seconds to deliver a fast paced 5-minute talk about anything that will enlighten the minds of the people who attend!

Doors will open for sixth annual Ignite! Tampa Bay event at 630pm on June 30, 2016. Join us for a fun and enlightening evening, complete full bar, and local craft beer as presentations from community members "ignite" the audience turning thought into action on the topics presented.
