GAINESVILLE, FL—-January 28, 2006. Mobile Campus, a collegiate permission-based text messaging service, is thrilled to announce the hiring of higher education veteran Richard Lewis.

Mobile Campus, headquartered in Gainesville, hired Lewis to act as the University Acquisition representative. Lewis will travel throughout the premiere collegiate markets to assess the need for Mobile Campus presence and develop relationships between Mobile Campus and the school administration within each market.

““We are very pleased and fortunate to have Richard Lewis joining Mobile Campus, Inc. His in-depth knowledge of the University Market and years of business experience will be a huge attribute to Mobile Campus’ mission of building a world class provider of text message communities to students on major US Universities,” said Roy Eder, Chief Operations Officer.

Lewis’ extensive consulting and “start up” environment experience make him a clear choice as a Mobile Campus leader of acquisition. His higher education experience has led him to 400 of the 500 largest schools in the U.S. He has the experience in and appreciation for the collegiate market that make him an asset to the Mobile Campus team.

“Mobile Campus is an ideal situation for me,” Lewis said. “I am thrilled with being involved with higher education, the start-up environment, Mobile Campus’ business plan and the imminent growth possibilities.”

Mobile Campus provides students with SMS text messaging from campus organizations and exclusive discounts from local businesses at no cost to students.

With Mobile Campus, students build communities around their cellular phones with the option to connect to campus clubs, the University and receive easy-to-use text discounts from their respective marketplaces. These messages provide value whether they connect students with instant organizational news or value via money-saving coupons.

Mobile Campus launched in September of 2005 at the University of Florida in Gainesville and in January 2006 at Sante Fe Community College in Gainesville and the University of Texas at Austin.
