October 12, 2016 - Antar bin Shaddad: The Father of All Knights, a new book by Abdullah Shaker, has been released by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc.

Over 1500 years ago, Antar bin Shaddad was born the son of an Arabian chief. His mother was an African slave and stayed a slave, so how did Antar bin Shaddad rise and achieve fame that would span centuries? He became a knight-a real hero and one of the greatest Arabian poets of all.

Antar bin Shaddad fell in love with his cousin, Abala, but her father refused their marriage because he was the son of an African slave.

This is his story of courage, adventure, and chivalry accompanied by some of his poems.

About the Author:
Abdullah Shaker resides in Saudi Arabia. There, he grew up playing in the streets with his friends imagining the adventures of Antar bin Shaddad and his bravery.

Abdullah Shaker is a mathematics teacher. He has taught for the past 27 years. He has seven children.
