October 11, 2016 - Edamam, a provider of automated nutrition analysis services, has partnered with Random House to provide nutrition data to cookbook authors. Initially, the company is working with authors writing cookbooks for the health conscious or people adhering to a specific diet.

The first two authors to use Edamam's services are Tess Masters, aka The Blender Girl, and Danielle Walker from Against All Grain. Edamam is providing nutrition for the recipes in their respective books The Perfect Blend: 100 Blender Recipes to Energize and Revitalize, coming our December 27, 2016 and Danielle Walker's Against All Grain Celebrations: A Year of Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, and Paleo Recipes for Every Occasion, already in stores.

"Knowing the nutrition of meals you cook at home is going mainstream and we saw an opportunity to help people with recipes from their favorite cookbooks. We are proud to be partnering with The Blender Girl, who is rightfully famous for her health restoring smoothie recipes and Danielle Walker, who is an absolute authority on paleo and gluten-free eating," explained Victor Penev, Edamam's CEO and Founder.

Under the agreement, each cookbook author receives full nutrition analysis of each recipe with details for calories and 30 other nutrients, such as fat, sugar, cholesterol and sodium. Each recipe is also tagged for 25 popular diets including paleo, gluten-free, high fiber or vegan. Authors receive the service at a cost that is substantially lower than all current alternatives.

"My community is passionate about healthy living and care about nutrition data. I use Edamam to deliver reliable information about my recipes. They have competitive rates and excellent customer service," commented Tess Masters.

"We needed nutrition data for the recipes in my new book and Edamam was able to help us, providing an excellent and very affordable solution. Working with them is a breeze and I would recommend Edamam to any cookbook author or blogger who needs to add nutrition to their recipes," added Danielle Walker.

Edamam is looking to expand its service and provide nutrition data to ever more cookbook authors, food bloggers, restaurants or simply home cooks. Its Nutrition Wizard is a great self-starter tool. Edamam is currently crowdfunding the development of this tool into a mobile app in response to popular demand form users.
