November 16, 2016 - Goodbye Tomorrow, a new book by Ike Utuagha, has been released by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc.

Growing up in Eastern Nigeria, Ike Utuagha has witnessed political upheaval and human hardship, which have shaped him as an activist and writer.

His father's career in the Nigerian army led him to study at several schools before his secondary education at Hope Waddell Training Institute, Calabar in South-South Nigeria and tertiary education at the University of Benin, Benin City, in Midwestern Nigeria, where he earned a degree in English language and literature.

Since graduating, Utuagha's work has focused on humanitarian services through support to hospitals and health establishments that treat HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, and other conditions.
"I am particularly interested in humanitarian services that are inclined towards the alleviation of the plight of people in pathetic circumstances," said Utuagha, whose writing draws attention to those issues.

"I examined the system of things in our country and wondered why Nigerians should be subjected to much hardship in the midst of plenty," he said.

"What I hope readers take away from my words is that humanity has the collective responsibility to make things right for our meaningful existence on planet Earth."
