December 3, 2016 - Grandma's Special Reindeer, a new book by Connie S. Howington, has been released by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc.

Grandma's Special Reindeer is a charming holiday story that recounts the adventures of little Jethro, a tiny reindeer who lives with his beloved grandmother. When the opportunity comes up to go to the North Pole to work with Santa Clause, Jethro is determined to try. While he soon finds that some of the jobs available are not right for him, Santa is pleased to learn that Jethro has one very special skill-he can read!

About the Author:
Connie S. Howington was raised in Wyoming, where she attended the University of Wyoming in Laramie. She has worked as a secretary in numerous positions in state government, including in a work release program and in Child Protective Services, and, together with her husband, she raises beef cattle in Alabama.

Ms. Howington enjoyed rodeoing-barrel racing, pole bending, goat tying, breakaway roping, and team roping. She is an active member of Evergreen United Methodist Church, singing in the choir, and working in children's education. She has also served as secretary for the Conecuh County Cattlemen's Association and for Citizens for a Clean Southwest Alabama.
