Durant Imboden's Europe for Visitors, a FORBES "Best of the Web" editorial travel-planning site, recently celebrated its third anniversary at http://europeforvisitors.com. The site, which began as "The Baby Boomer's Venice" in 1996, now has more than 4,000 pages of editorial content and reaches more than 375,000 unique visitors per month. Revenues grew 75 percent in 2004.

Europeforvisitors.com includes city guides and other destination articles, reviews of European cruises, Web links, photos, and other resources for leisure travelers. It focuses mostly on Western and Atlantic Europe, with special "sites within the site" about Venice, Switzerland, and Austria (the latter two under the byline of Imboden's wife Cheryl, the former Switzerland/Austria guide at About.com).

Plans for 2005 include more in-depth destination coverage, a European cruising guide, and reviews of hotels, cruises, and products for travelers. Europe for Visitors also has a "European Travel News" section that will continue to feature information from tourist offices and travel vendors.
