This issue features a review, by architects and educators Mari Fujita and Oliver Neumann, of the Vancouver Art Gallery Exhibition Massive Change: The Future of Global Design, developed by Bruce Mau Design and the Institute Without Boundaries; an analysis of how Design-Nation in the UK helps designers work directly with retailers to develop new products; a report on the successful use of recycled plastics by Montreal-based designer Patrick Messier for a range of site furnishings.

VCR's News section provides reviews, articles and editorials aimed at the furniture design and sustainable manufacturing community in Canada and beyond. VCR's Resources section, a compendium of technical information about manufacturing furniture in an eco-friendly manner, focuses on green materials, anthropometrics and ergonomics, material science, fabrication technology, kilning, wood bending, safety, suppliers and book titles by subject.

Frequent updates are made to the home page and events directory to keep the furniture design and manufacturing community informed about current developments.
