Bruce Sauer retires after more than 40 years covering the commercial truck and trailer industry

Southfield, MI, June 21, 2017 – Trailer/Body Builders, the only magazine published specifically for those who produce and sell commercial truck bodies, trailers, and truck equipment, today announced that its long-time editor Bruce Sauer is retiring after covering the commercial truck and trailer industry for 42 years. Effective July 1, Kevin Jones, currently the editor of American Trucker, will also become the new editor of Trailer/Body Builder. In Trailer/Body Builder's 58-year history this is only the second time it has brought on new editorial leadership.

Sauer joined Trailer/Body Builders as an associate editor in 1974. After stints as the magazine's managing editor and executive editor, he took over full editorial responsibilities from the magazine's founding editor, Paul Schenck, in 1996.

Jones has served as an editor and writer for several trucking industry publications, as well as a newspaper editor and reporter covering government and business. He has been recognized for his work with multiple awards from the Associated Press and Arkansas Press Association. He also appears frequently on trucking industry radio shows.

"For over four decades Bruce has worked tirelessly to deliver comprehensive information for the commercial truck, trailers and equipment industry. We wish him the best in this new chapter of his life," said Ray Anderson, Group Publisher. "We are thrilled to add Kevin to the Trailer/Body Builders team. Kevin is widely known and respected in the market – we look forward this next phase of growth for Trailer/Body Builders."
