New Jersey, USA, February 03, 2006. OrangeHRM, the first version of a comprehensive Open Source HRM solution was launched today. It comes as a free web-enabled application which is easy to install, configure and run. This would be an ideal solution for small and medium sized companies and organizations looking for an inexpensive way to manage and develop their human resources.

The current version of OrangeHRM is based on Admin, personal information, maintenance and bug tracking modules. Through the administration module it is possible to enter the company’s organizational structure and the employee job requirements and information. This involves features such as company hierarchy and cost centers. The employees’ personal information is entered through a personal information management module. This consists of features such as Contact & Bank Information, Qualifications & Work Experience, Job Specification, Memberships & Extra Curricular Activities, Job & Workstation details and more. Furthermore OrangeHRM has a maintenance module for user creation and application maintenance as well as a BUG Tracker for immediate reporting of any bug.
