Bucksport, Maine — TheHomeCast.com provides relevant information for modern homemakers not only by the standard website and e-newsletters, but also with the cutting edge concept of podcasts. The premiere one hour podcast launched during January 2006. Featuring professional organizer Ramona Creel of OnlineOrganizing.com, and well known homeschool author and speaker Cindy Rushton, the initial offering is already drawing positive feedback.

Founder Jessica Harvey recognized that today’s homemaker was unaware of the option of having commentary available at their convenience through such technology. “Podcasts are the perfect option for accessing news and resources for the modern homemaker. Rather than telling them when to tune in, we are providing a resource that can be controlled by them and is adapted to their hectic schedules,” comments Harvey. “Podcasts are an incredible resource for reaching today’s homemaker because it allows them to download a resource that can be accessed as they go about their normal routine, whether it be checking emails, taking care of household chores, while exercising, or on the go in the car. Not all homemakers understand the relevance of a podcast. It’s not just about buying an iPod; it is something they can enjoy on their own computer.”

Future podcasts will be released bi-weekly and cover topics including homeschooling, home business, cooking, and other topics relevant to the modern homemaker. TheHomeCast.com has already launched HomeCooking and HomeBusiness, two of their five topical e-newsletters. The series of e-newsletters will provide articles, reviews, and contests of interest to homemakers from all walks of life.

TheHomeCast.com features blog entries from a “Crew” of veteran homemakers, each posting about her area of expertise, including homeschooling high schoolers, operating a home-based business, and dozens of other topics.
