University of Connecticut Partners with First Transit for Campus Transportation

AUGUST 23, 2017 - STORRS, Conn. – First Transit, the leader in campus mobility solutions in North America, announces it will begin managing and operating the campus transportation system at the University of Connecticut (UConn). First Transit will be responsible for the daily operations and management of 35 employees and 31 buses.

First Transit will operate UConn's 10 routes serving all parking lots and official UConn housing. First Transit's operations will be in place before students arrive for the fall 2017 semester.

First Transit's management team at UConn are both graduates of the university and began their transit careers as campus bus drivers. Greg Tower is the general manager, and Ryan Visci is the assistant general manager.
