Thomas Jefferson Professor Lilys McCoy to be Honored at the Conference of California Bar Associations 2018 Conference of Delegates
Professor McCoy will accept the award at the Chair's Reception, which will be held on Friday evening, September 14. Also receiving awards at the reception will be California Supreme Court Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye, who will receive the John Van de Kamp Justice through Laws Award, and California Senate President Pro Tempore Toni Atkins, who will be named Legislator of the Year.
"I am incredibly honored to be selected for the Pfeiffer Award," said Professor McCoy. "Working with some of the best legal professionals in California to change the law for the better is a privilege. The organization has been a professional passion of mine for over 25 years, and I would encourage anyone interested in legislative advocacy to get involved in the CCBA." "We are so proud of Lilys and consider ourselves fortunate to call her our colleague," said Thomas Jefferson School of Law President and Dean Joan Bullock.
Professor McCoy is the director of the Thomas Jefferson School of Law Center for Solo Practitioners and the director of the Thomas Jefferson School of Law National Trial Team.
