September 13, 2018 [Tampa, FL] - There's no mystery behind robust tech ecosystems, they grow one product and one company at a time. Fueling that growth is the grassroots technical talent that ideates, innovates, develops, launches, and supports new products and for the past 11 years, one of the driving forces of our tech community has been BarCamp Tampa Bay This year's BarCamp Tampa Bay, scheduled for Saturday, November 10th in the west wing of the University Mall located at 2200 E. Fowler Ave., coincides with the start of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) an annual worldwide celebration of the people who start and grow new business ventures.

The unconference known as BarCamp is a phenomenon that occurs in tech communities all around the globe. Its just-in-time agenda is the ultimate experiment in content crowdsourcing because the topics are identified on the fly the morning of the event and are comprised solely of subjects that the attendees decide are worth sharing.

Part of the power and attraction of BarCamp is that individuals, not companies, in the tech community, come to share their knowledge on cutting-edge technologies, tools, and techniques they use every day for fun or business. As in past years, presentations cover a wide range of topics but will likely include user experience design, WordPress, wearable technology, robotics, 3D printing, gamification, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, machine learning, IoT, fintech, medtech, blockchain, PHP, Python, .Net, Java, and much more. Because Barcamp attracts the region's highest concentration of tech startups, you can also expect speakers to cover broad early-stage business issues such as how to hire a developer or your first salesperson, startup lessons learned, venture and angel funding mistakes, business coaching and other related topics that are important to a startup entrepreneur.

BarCamp Tampa Bay is locally organized and hosted by TechNova, a 100% volunteer-driven organization comprised of serial entrepreneurs and seasoned technology professionals who are committed to increasing Tampa Bay's visibility and credibility as a major tech hub. The event is always free to attend thanks to the generosity of the local tech and the business community. TechNova's premier annual sponsors include SourceToad, ForEx Factory, and The Tampa Innovation Alliance. Event sponsors include a long list of local technology companies and global tech brands such as O'Reilly Media and TechSmith. This year we add to that list RD Management, the owner, and operator of University Mall whose generosity in hosting BarCamp is just a small part of the overall plans for turning this venue into a source of collaboration and innovation.

Attendee registration for the event will open up on September 12, 2018. For more information, please refer to the BarCamp website at www.barcamptampa.org or on our social media accounts on Twitter at twitter.com/barcamptampa and on Facebook at facebook.com/barcamptampa.
