Improv Miami Prizes 2004 Announces Winners at Awards Ceremony

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Aventura, Florida, Decmber 4, 2004 -
Showcase performances from Impromedy, Laughing Gas, Mod27 and Name Change Pending led the way as members from such additional troupes as Gated Community, Joystick, Keith and Margo's Murder Mystery, and STDs presented awards and joined in group performances.
This was an evening of comedy and awards that will not soon be forgotten!
"Finally some of the finest improv troupes received some well-deserved recognition," said event Director Todd Rice. "Hopefully this trend will continue and we will see improv continue to grow as an artform in South Florida."
The winners of the Impys in order of presentation were:
Best Extreme Improv Troupe 2004 - Name Change Pending
Best Short Form Improv Troupe 2004 - Laughing Gas Comedy Improv
Best Long Form Improv Troupe 2004 - Mod27
Best Sketch Comedy Troupe 2004 - Impromedy
In addition to the Impys that were handed out, ImprovMiami.com had competition in additional categories to receive recognition for excellence and contribution to improvisation as an art form.
