Inspiration for Rob Sargeant's story came during leisure time while he toured ancient ruins, and biblical sights around Lake Tiberius. "I took two trips to places near the Galilee and the Dead Sea," says Sargeant. "I was privileged to have local guides on both occasions. One Israeli guide, who took us to Massada, had worked with an archaeologist for several years searching for the Ark of the Covenant. He told me of his adventures one day in July while we drove across the hot Negev Desert on safari - These trips definitely helped to get the creative wheels rolling."

The novel, Lost Ark Found, follows the adventures of a group of teenagers, led by a grandfather and a mountain man hermit as they hunt for treasure in the mountains of Vancouver Island, B.C.. Following clues, and maps recorded in a three hundred year old journal, they solve riddles, overcome obstacles, discover a mountaintop Aboriginal temple – and end up making one of the greatest archaeological finds of the century - They discover the lost Ark of the Covenant.
