Climbers Age 3 - 6 Can Now Share The Fun at The Adventure Park at Long Island's New "Adventure Playground"

Until now three-to-six-year-olds could only watch in wonder as their older brothers and sisters or parents zip-lined and climbed at The Adventure Park at Long Island. Now, at last, they have their very own wondrous, new playground that mimics the regular Adventure Park's features—only at typical playground heights suitable for kids age three through six. It's called "The Adventure Playground" and it is a playground that only The Adventure Park could dream up.

The Adventure Playground includes scaled down versions of some of the elements found in the more grown-up courses at The Park so young climbers have the right level of challenge for their age and size. Unusual steps, bridges, a swirly slide, netting to scramble across, a barrel to climb through — and three exciting tree houses to explore—-one of which is suspended and actually sways a bit!

Unlike the more grown-up courses at The Adventure Park, climbers of The Adventure Playground do not need to wear harnesses. Parents and guardians can supervise and give their young climbers the personal encouragement and support they may need.

Now little climbers can get their first joyful taste of Adventure Park fun and dream of the day they turn seven and take on the next challenges designed for older kids.

Meanwhile, older kids, teens and adults, whether beginners or more advanced, continue to find adventure at levels they also choose from among the many options within the regular Adventure Park's courses.

The new Playground makes The Adventure Park an even more inclusive experience for the whole family.

- About The Adventure Park -
The Adventure Park features a special combination experience of challenge bridges combined with zip lines between the trees that keep people coming back for more. The Park's friendly staff is available to answer questions and assist from the moment customers arrive to the moment they conclude their climb and return home with satisfied "I did it!" smiles.

The Adventure Park is not one single aerial treetop trail but a variety of different, color-coded aerial trails of differing challenge levels—beginner through expert—that climbers choose from depending on their age or climbing experience. There are trails suitable for kids, teens, adults and groups. These trails consist of platforms installed in the trees and connected by various configurations of cable, wood and rope to form "crossings" of different kinds including the ever-popular zip lines. Climbers wear harnesses which are doubly secured to safety cables using the Park's "always locked on" system of interlocking safety clips. Before venturing onto the trails climbers receive an interactive orientation and practice session.

The Adventure Park at Long Island is designed, built and operated by Outdoor Ventures. It is located at 75 Colonial Springs Road, Gate 3, Wheatley Heights, NY 11798.
