ENVIROKLEEN® RANKED #1 IN ALL CATEGORIES IN US ARMY CORPS

(PRLEAP.COM) Canton, OH – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Research and Development Center (ERDC) lab and field-tested in very rigorous dry desert conditions 10 leading commercial dust control agents for mitigating dust on helipads subjected to rotary-wing aircraft traffic. The ERDC recommended that the U.S. Marine Corps procure EnviroKleen® as the most effective dust control method. EnviroKleen®’s performance consistently finished first in all comprehensive test categories, from the critical “Pilot Rankings and Observations”, to first in the Weighted Palliative Ratings.

EnviroKleen® also outperformed dust control suppressants developed by the U.S. Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory (MCWL) and the Navy Research Laboratory (NRL).

The U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) was tasked by the U.S. Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) to conduct the extensive testing.
The tests were conducted at the Marine Corps Yuma, Arizona Air Station by the ERDC and the Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory, Vicksburg, MS.

EnviroKleen®’s cutting-edge dust suppressant technology was internally developed by Midwest Industrial Supply, Inc., who invested over two million dollars in Research and Development to formulate this revolutionary product. EnviroKleen® is the most advanced dust suppressant technology introduced in North America in the past 25 years.

Project Scope

The U.S. military was plagued by fugitive dust during Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. The generation of airborne dust during aircraft operations significantly impacted both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft missions. Rotary-wing aircraft often experienced “Brown Out” conditions in which the density of airborne dust was such that the pilots lost site of the ground resulting in hazardous operating conditions. Aircraft and personnel were lost due to accidents resulting from “Brown Out” conditions. In addition, the widespread accumulation of dust during ground vehicle operations and in base camps adversely impacted the ability of military personnel to effectively conduct combat operations.
