Salem Communications (Nasdaq:SALM), the leading U.S. radio broadcaster, Internet content provider and magazine publisher targeting audiences interested in Christian and family-themed programming, today announced the acquisition of Crossdaily.com, an online provider of Christian content, graphics and online community resources, for $2.3 million.

"The acquisition of Crossdaily.com is another important step forward in Salem's online strategy," said Rick Killingsworth, vice president of Salem Web Network. "This acquisition further diversifies our Internet revenue streams and adds an established web business to our growing online portfolio. By leveraging the operational and marketing infrastructure of our existing Internet businesses, which target the same church audience, we believe the acquisition of Crossdaily.com will be immediately profitable. "

"This site complements our current efforts to serve the growing and increasingly important church services market," continued Killingsworth. "With one of the largest collections of Christian graphics anywhere on the web, we now can offer a larger suite of services to our church and ministry clients."
“The addition of more than seven million page views and 600,000 unique users will widen the traffic and audience lead we enjoy in the Christian Internet space,” said Tom Perrault, executive director of operations of Salem Web. “CrossDaily.com features content our audience enjoys including a significant graphics library, Christian games and Bible trivia, e-cards and inspirations, a web directory and Bible search.”
The websites owned and operated by Salem are leading Christian-themed websites reaching an audience of more than four million unique visitors that view more than 50 million pages each month. Salem Communications' owned and operated web properties include Crosswalk.com, OnePlace.com, Christianity.com. ChristianJobs.com, ChurchStaffing.com, TheFish.com and CCMmagazine.com, as well as more than 60 radio station websites.
