Molly in Search of Bacon, a new book by Letitia M. Pipes, has been released by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc.

When Letitia M. Pipes' friend's daughter asked for a bedtime story about "a giraffe, bacon, and the desert," Molly in Search of Bacon was born! This delightful book for children showcases the wonders of friendship and the power of working together.

About the Author
Letitia M. Pipes grew up in Portland, Texas, right by the beach. She took piano lessons, rode her bike, attended church, and sang in the school choir. She attended school at Gregory-Portland ISD and then went on to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Science. While in college, she wrote articles for the school newspaper as well as the school magazine.

Letitia met her husband, Jeff, at college and they were married not long after graduation. They moved to the family farm in Maypearl, Texas. Her three boys are her world and her pride and joy! They have grown into wonderful, successful young men, and she also has the privilege of having an amazing daughter-in-law join the family. Nineteen years ago, she made the decision to become a teacher. She has taught Special Education and English throughout her career. She was honored to receive the Covington Mason Lodge Award for Teaching in 2018.

For as long as she can remember, Letitia has loved to read. She dreamed of being a writer like Laura Ingalls Wilder, Beverly Cleary, L. M. Montgomery, and Louisa May Alcott, just to name a few. Her passion for reading and writing increased the older she got. She wrote poetry, kept daily journals and a variety of short stories. When she decided to write a book, she was advised to "write what you know." So, she wrote for children. Letitia hopes that children discover, through her books, what their dreams are and then pursue them with all their might.

Molly in Search of Bacon is a 36-page hardcover with a retail price of $24.00. The ISBN is 978-1-6453-0198-1. It was published by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
