‘Although we both have our favourite artists and pictures’, said Sonia, ‘we aim to offer a wide range of international artists and correspondingly a breadth of subjects – everything from landscape and seascapes to ballet and wildlife’.

A long time supporter of Newcastle United, Sonia includes in her list of favourites currently for sale in the Gallery, ‘The Big Match’ and ‘The Boy who Didn’t Get a Ticket’ from the Mackenzie Thorpe ‘Game of Life Series’.

Two of Ray’s favourite pictures currently for sale are both silkscreen prints by David Shepherd, ‘Cheetah’ and ‘Indian Summer’ but this choice is not surprising as Ray like David has long been active in wildlife conservation.

Appropriately, the rarest, and most sought after picture currently offered by the Gallery is David Shepherd’s ‘Ahmed a Very Wise Old Elephant’. One of an edition of only 65, it was published to commemorate David’s 65th birthday.

The Gallery currently, also has for sale a number of the scarce very low edition prints by Rolf Harris including, ‘Dawn Over The River’, ‘Bicycle Boredom’, ‘Raining on the Rock’ and other titles.

Looking forward, Ray and Sonia are actively seeking new artists and craftsmen for the Gallery and will be offering original works of art, glass, sculpture and artist edition prints to complement and extend the current focus on limited edition prints.
