Hamilton Sundstrand’s Applied Instrument Technologies Introduces a New Helium Ionization Detector for its FXi Series5 Process Gas Chromatograph Product Line
February 26, 2006 (PRLEAP.COM) Business NewsHamilton Sundstrandís Applied Instrument Technologies introduces a new Helium Ionization Detector (HID) for the Fxi Series5 process gas chromatographs (PGC). The HID uses a stable, low powered, non-radioactive, pulsed DC discharge in helium as an ionization source. This provides trace level measurements such as moisture and Ammonia in Ethylene streams and trace level Hydrogen in Nitrogen. The new HID adds to the already versatile detector options for the Fxi Series5 which include Thermal Conductivity (TCD), Flame Ionization (FID), and Flame Photometric (FPD).
The Fxi Series5 PGC features the Local Analyzer Management System Software (LAMS) with a Windows-based touch screen format for rapid one button diagnostics and configuration. The LAMS has the largest display in the PGC industry and is available as an upgrade to existing Foxboroô 931 model PGCs.
