Boston based Singer Bill Champitto selected for “Canadian Music Week Unsigned Artists 2006” CD
(
PRLEAP.COM) Winthrop, MA February 24, 2006. Bill Champitto, a singer, songwriter and pianist from Boston was selected from among thousands of international artists to be one of the few musicians highlighted on this year’s “Canadian Music Week Unsigned Artists 2006” CD.
Bill is currently performing with his duo in the Boston area with his next show scheduled for Wednesday, May 1 at the Naked Fish in Lynnfield. “I’ve recently begun performing again in the Boston area after a few years where my travel schedule made it impossible to book local gigs”, Bill said. “I love Boston audiences because they appreciate a good performance. They expect you to be better than average and really open up to you when you give them your best.”
“Being selected for the unsigned artist CD is a big honor for me. I wrote this song (“Better Every Day”) for my wife and so she deserves some credit too, or so she tells me.” The song is currently available for listening at both the CMW site (
http://www.tunetank.net/CMW2006.htm) and at Bill’s website (
www.billchampitto.com). The CD is distributed as part of CMW’s conference being held in March. CMW is the largest Music & Entertainment Convention in Canada. “The exposure will be great and who knows, this could be my American Idol moment without Ryan Seacrest and Simon!”
