New natural supplement improves sleep and overall condition of fibromyalgia, study shows

What would you do if you got an extra 1.6 hours of sleep? Go for a walk? Head to the gym? Spend more time with your family and friends?

An extra hour or two of sleep may not sound like much, but for people suffering from fibromyalgia, where sleep disorders are one of the main symptoms, it can mean a world of difference in improved health and well being. Studies have shown that with a good night’s rest, people with fibromyalgia experience less pain and fewer symptom flare-ups.

The National Fibromyalgia Association today announced the results of a clinical study by the makers of a new supplement, Fibronol®. The study shows that, after taking Fibronol for eight weeks, participants gained an average of 1.6 more hours of sleep a night, with an 80% improvement in the soundness of sleep.

In November 2005, an abstract summarizing the Fibronol Phase I-a clinical trial results reported the following additional symptom improvements:

39% improvement in overall condition
71% gain in energy
31% reduction in perceived pain levels
30% reduction in fatigue

Classified as a natural food-based product, Fibronol http://www.fibronol.com is a safe, effective and natural supplement clinically proven to provide significant improvements in treating the symptoms of fibromyalgia.

According to Trey MacPhee, President of Fibronol LLC, the primary source of Fibronol’s effectiveness in relieving fibromyalgia symptoms lies in utilizing the multiple and powerful healing properties of SEANOL-F. An ocean-based polyphenol extract from brown algae, SEANOL-F has uniquely strong anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that promote cardiovascular health and protection.

“Since there are very few products offering effective multi-symptom relief for fibromyalgia patients, it is encouraging news for the fibromyalgia community that the makers of Fibronol spent the time and money to put their product through a rigorous clinical study,” said Lynne Matallana, president and founder of the National Fibromyalgia Association.

MacPhee said his company waited until clinical trial results verified the safety and efficacy of their product before offering it to consumers. He also said “The study confirmed that Fibronol delivers unprecedented multi-symptom relief to people with fibromyalgia and as a result this product will benefit many underserved fibromyalgia patients.”

The company presently is undertaking further product research, including whether additional symptom relief can be achieved when Fibronol is supplemented with another natural supplement, FibroBoost.
