Global consulting firm reports on state of the business going into 2005

December 17, 2004 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
In 2004 Cipher has grown its staff to approximately 50 professionals employed domestically on either a full- or part-time basis. Cipher analysts are industry experts. For example, it has practicing physicians who work specifically on pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industry assignments. In addition, Cipher takes advantage of strategic partnerships globally.

Cipher's approach going into 2005 is focused on providing a menu of solution options to clients. This allows clients to pick and choose only the technologies and services they need and package them in a way that best meets their specific requirements.

"Going to market with a single product or service in our industry just doesn't make sense. The lines between business intelligence, competitive intelligence and knowledge management continue to blur going into 2005,' said Ted Gruszka, Cipher's Director of Market Research. "Organizations still struggle with the task of piecing together the best system to find and use information to make better decisions. By bundling best practice technologies and services together we will be able to deliver a complete solution that enables them to overcome this challenge.'

In 2005 Cipher's software Knowledge.Works will continue to be offered as a toolkit of competitive intelligence capabilities including content aggregation, advanced search, automatic text summarization and integrated reporting. New e-Research service modules like Private Company Profiler and Manufacturing Capabilities Profiler will be available as plug-ins allowing Knowledge.Works users to tap directly into up-to-date research from Cipher analysts. And, early warning intelligence and tactical collection and analysis services continue to be available options.

Examples of other services that may be incorporated into a Cipher solution include document imaging, document and records management, training and web design. All services are available on retainer or on a by-project basis.
