Johanna Hambrose Wins Prestigious Enterprising Women Of The Year Award

NEW YORK – Marsha Firestone, Ph.D., president of the Women Presidents’ Organization (WPO) has announced that WPO member, Johanna Hambrose, president of Electric Ink in Philadelphia, has received the Enterprising Women of the Year Award in the category for women who earn over $5 million and up to $10 million in annual revenue. The Enterprising Women of the Year Award honors the country's finest women entrepreneurs and their remarkable success. The winners are also recognized as leaders who have had a profound economic impact on their community. Seventeen of this year’s award winners are WPO members.

Under Hambrose’s leadership, Electronic Ink pioneered the development of a user-centered design process in technology. Industries from financial, non-profit, government to healthcare rely on Electronic Ink to improve the usability of their technology solutions.

“This year our members were represented in every category of the Enterprising Women of the Year Awards,” said Firestone. “Johanna’s recognition is a tribute not only to her success, but also to her peers in the WPO who together helped her reach farther. We are so proud of her.”
