PRESS RELEASE Utah Trading Company, Inc. Enters Market to Sell Weight Loss Product With Ephedra

(PRLEAP.COM) Las Vegas, NV – (For Immediate Release) – March 8, 2006 – Utah Trading Company, Inc., held a luncheon today to announce the launch of its new weight loss product, MetaboSlim, with 10mg of real Ephedra alkaloids.

This new product introduction was particularly noteworthy because Ephedra has been a controversial weight loss ingredient and was banned from the market by the FDA in April, 2004.

Utah Trading publicist, Mike Jamerson, who hosted the event, told the story of five “gym rats”, who became friends. They started Utah Trading Company because they were Ephedra users and couldn’t find it anywhere, even after the Federal courts overruled the FDA ban in April 2005.

The friends decided that American consumers deserve the right to choose and it was with this principle in mind that they started Utah Trading Company, Inc. The companies core strategy is to market ephedra based diet products only to people who have successfully used it in the past. The company will sell ephedra direct to experienced users only from its website: www.ephedra4weightloss.net

Said Jamerson “Here you have five middle-age guys who have been taking diet and weight loss products with Ephedra for years, with very good results, and the government comes around and tells them…. ‘No, we know what’s best for you’, and takes the product off the market”

Jamerson states further “My clients only got into this business because none of the big companies were stepping up to the plate.”

This is a fact. The big nutritional supplement companies were not bringing Ephedra back to the market despite the reversal of the FDA ban. When several companies were queried, they generally responded that they had moved on, they didn’t want to run afoul the FDA or they didn’t want to deal with civil lawsuits.

Jamerson suggest, “The big companies dumped ephedra and began telling its customers that, unlikely ingredients, such as, Hoodia, Green Tea, and Orange Peel extract are better diet supplements than Ephedra………….now they are stuck with that story’.”

The reversal of the FDA ban is currently being appealed and should be heard by a higher court, sometime
in mid-2007. Jamerson admits, “Yes, we understand the risk and that this could be a short term proposition. However, the folks at Utah Trading Company believe in the consumers right to choose. We only desire to sell MetaboSlim to people who have successfully used it in the past. Should the FDA prevail we will obey the law.”
