Research Triangle Park, NC. December 15, 2004. Mi-Co, the mobile data capture company, announced today that Microsoft has designated the software company as a Premier Partner in its Tablet PC Alliance Program.

"This demonstrates once again that a pen perfect mobile data capture application for Tablet PCs sets Mi-Forms Software apart from other digital ink solutions,' stated Jim Clary, Mi-Co CEO.

This is just the latest aspect of the ongoing relationship of Mi-Co and Microsoft. In August of this year, Mi-Forms Software was verified for inclusion in the Microsoft Windows Tablet PC Application Catalog. This verification program was developed by Microsoft and implemented by Quality Logic, to allow end-users to easily identify software products that are compatible with Microsoft Tablet PC devices. This verification process assessed the Mi-Forms features and measured them against Microsoft's requirements.

In late 2002 at the launch of the Tablet PC in New York, Bill Gates stated, "What you'll see in the years ahead is constant evolution of the hardware, you're going to see more and more software partners coming along…. So this is just the beginning but it's quite an amazing beginning.'

"The Premier Partner program and the application catalog process demonstrate that Microsoft is leveraging its marketing power to let people know about enterprise and productivity applications on the Tablet PC. The success of the Tablet PC continues to be emphasized at the highest levels of Microsoft,' stated Chris DiPierro, of Mi-Co.

DiPierro led the technical efforts at Mi-Co to ensure that Mi-Forms Software met the requirements of the verification program as set forth by Microsoft and implemented by Quality Logic. In addition, DiPierro provided his technological expertise in the Premier Partner application process.
