NEW EMPOWERMENT INSTITUTE LAUNCH A SUCCESS

March 11, 2006 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
The Eady Associates Empowerment Institute got off to a great start last
Thursday evening, Feb. 23rd at the Windows Over Harlem Restaurant in the
Harlem State Office Building. Nearly 300 people attended the Launching
Affair and heard speakers like Gil Noble, Bob Pickett, John Beatty,
Queen Afua, Milton Allimadi, Pierre Sutton, and Brian Figeroux. The
attendees expressed their support for "An idea whose time has come", and
appreciation to Kermit Eady, founder and president of Eady Associates,
for the work that he has done for Black people while at The Black United
Fund of New York. The speakers and attendees expressed their continued
support for this new business and economic development venture that the
Black Community so desperately needs.

"The Empowerment Institute plans to teach and work to get people
grounded in the critical Universal/Spiritual Laws and Principles that
teach, guide and inspire us in our daily lives. As we learn, understand
and put into practice such laws and principles as 'Life and death are in
the power of the tongue, You reap what you sow,' and 'God didn't give us
a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, love and a sound mind,' we will
see a radical change in our attitude, performance and levels of
success," said Eady.

The Institute sees these Laws and Principles as the first steps in
business and self development, especially when one does not have a lot
of money to buy off the challenges and inevitable problems. "Our
community has too long been defined by activism and wayward politics;
and, as other communities, we must have our business leadership and
institutions, as the power behind our activism derived out of a
spiritual base and a new vision and appreciation of reality," Eady
also said.

The Institute has brought together Black business leaders that will
assist in teaching basic and sound business principles and concepts.
Black business leaders will not only participate as lecturers, but they
will serve as resource persons and models of leadership in the "how
to's" in business development and management. "I am proud that so many
of our business leaders have decided to take responsibility and join
with me in teaching our people the essentials of business development,"
said Eady.

Pierre Sutton, chairman of Inner City Broadcasting, expressed that he
wanted everyone to know that Kermit has his full support and will work
diligently to see that this project is successful.

The Empowerment Institute Seminar Series starts Tuesday, March 14, 2006,
7:30 PM
Harlem State Office Building, 3rd Floor, at 163 West 125th Street
