Marin County, California – Sonic Solutions [NASDAQ: SNIC] announced today that both Sonic MyDVD 5 and Sonic PrimeTime, the industry's leading applications for DVD creation, are now shipping in Japan as integrated components of Fujitsu Limited's FMV-DESKPOWER C90EW/C Microsoft® Windows® XP Media Center Edition PC. The combination of Sonic PrimeTime and Sonic MyDVD allows Fujitsu's customers to easily and quickly burn DVDs of their recorded television programs using the Media Center Edition remote control, and then customize them with powerful features such as integrated video editing, motion-menu backgrounds with animated buttons, chapter points, photo slideshows and more.

"Our decision to partner with Sonic Solutions was an easy one,' said Masahiko Shimada, Manager of the Platform Engineering Department, Personal Systems Business Group at Fujitsu Limited. "Sonic is the world leader in DVD creation, and this combination of products is the perfect complement to our FMV-DESKPOWER C90EW/C PC. With Sonic PrimeTime, users can take advantage of the PC's "ten foot' user interface with large menus and integrated remote control to browse and select their favorite TV shows and record them to DVDs that can be played back on the vast majority of standard set-top and PC-based DVD players. Sonic MyDVD takes the DVD creation process a step further by allowing users to edit their recorded programs to remove commercials, add titles or special effects, as well as customize their DVDs to give them the pizzazz of Hollywood-style DVDs. In addition, the recorded discs include OpenDVD™ technology, which allows users to re-edit content at any time using Sonic MyDVD, Sonic PrimeTime, or other OpenDVD-enabled applications.

"We are extremely pleased to be working with Fujitsu to bring DVD-burning capabilities to FMV-DESKPOWER C90EW/C PC users who want to save their recorded TV shows, home movies, photos and data to DVD," said Koki Terui, Senior Vice-president of Pacific Rim Operations at Sonic Solutions. About Sonic PrimeTime

Sonic PrimeTime is the first PC software application that works seamlessly with Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition to burn TV shows and other video content to DVD. Like Windows XP Media Center, PrimeTime employs a ‘ten foot' user interface with large menus. The application takes advantage of the Media Center PC's remote control so that a user can browse and select their favorite shows and record them to DVDs that can be played back on standard set-top DVD players and PCs. DVDs recorded by Sonic PrimeTime also include OpenDVD technology so that they can be easily re-edited at a later time.
