Turnpoint Solutions Taps Industry Veteran Leo Hagood To Lead Business Development

ATLANTA, Turnpoint Solutions, LLC announced the immediate appointment of Leo Hagood as executive vice president business development.

Mr. Hagood joins Turnpoint Solutions (www.turnpoint-solutions.com) from SPL Worldgroup (www.splwg.com) where he served as director of business development for mobile workforce management. Mr. Hagood has over 25 years of experience in the utility industry including 18 years at Southern Company. In addition to leading Turnpoint’s global market development programs for all practices, Mr. Hagood will also focus on the continued growth of key industry partnerships with ISV’s and complementary technology and service solution providers.

A graduate of Auburn University, Mr. Hagood started his career in the Southern Company information technology/engineering subsidiary, Southern Company Services, where he worked on the development of power plant maintenance management and document control systems. Mr. Hagood also managed business development for Southern Company’s software products unregulated subsidiary, Southern Electric International (SEI). He concluded his Southern Company tenure after spending several years in roles focused on utility operational consulting and the development of asset acquisition opportunities in the Pacific Rim and U.S. Markets.

Previously, as a principal and founder of the utility practice of Axiom Consulting, Mr. Hagood spent 8 years focused on implementing best practices and technology solutions for utilities, government, and The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). He played a key role in the 2000 acquisition and subsequent growth of Axiom’s mobile workforce management software division which was acquired in 2004 by GFI Energy Ventures and later merged into SPL Worldgroup.
