Jim Lange’s book, Bleedership, Biblical First-Aid for Leaders, recently received the award as the Best Christian Business Book of 2006 presented by Christianstoryteller.com. Bleedership was published in May of 2005 by Tate Publishing Co., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Lange, a 20+ year businessman, is now vice president of a Toledo-based printing company. Just prior to this position, he was vice president of sales for a $150 million division of a $900 million publicly traded corporation where he encountered a particularly difficult boss who inspired him to write this book.

While agonizing over a series of mental battles with this boss, Lange happened to contrast that man’s methods with those of the greatest biblical leaders, including Jesus Christ. "It occurred to me that Jesus was able to change the world and people from all walks of life followed Him, not through intimidation or threats but through love and hope," Lange reflected. "I just extended that theme to different aspects of the business world and life in general," he pointed out.

Those thoughts were the seeds that grew into his new book, Bleedership: Biblical First Aid for Leaders.

Bleedership delivers the right medicine and the sure cure when leadership falls short. Ed Reiter, retired CEO of Sky Financial Services says, "Having taught leadership and reading almost every leadership book on the market, I have found Bleedership to be the most effective. It is based on biblical principles, which, in my opinion, are the foundation of all leadership. I recommend this book to anyone in any leadership position or anyone who desires to become a leader."

Lange graduated from The University of Toledo where he was a member of the varsity basketball team. He and his wife, Connie and their three children Kristin, Molly and Robbie live in Lambertville, Michigan.
