Margaret Laurence Award for Fiction 2006
(PRLEAP.COM) Body Traffic, a mystery novel written by the Winnipeg, Manitoba writing team of Alex Domokos and Rita Y. Toews has been short listed for the coveted Margaret Laurence Award for Fiction. Body Traffic features an RCMP officer and is set, in part, in Winnipeg’s level 4 virology laboratory.
The writing partners have won several awards in the past, including a Clara and an Eppie Award for The Price of Freedom. The highly praised memoirs of Mr. Domokos is now available from Blackstone Audio as an audio book.
Mrs. Toews is also the author of The Bully: A Discussion and Activity Story. The Bully book is in use in schools throughout Canada and the United States.
Mr. Domokos and Mrs. Toews reside in Winnipeg, Manitoba. They are currently working on a sequel to Body Traffic.
