Create, Fill, Save and digitally sign your PDF Forms without Adobe Reader.

March 20, 2006 (PRLEAP.COM) Technology News
It is a fact that until today Free PDF Readers are not able to save PDF Form Data to disk for later reference and/or archiving purposes. Furthermore Free PDF Readers are not able to digitally sign electronic documents. Thanks to the new launch of the Aloaha PDF Form Saver, PDF forms or documents can now be filled in, saved and digitally signed, thereby making online transected documents accessible to everyone. How many times clients had to access certain forms online, print them out, fill them in and return them back with proof of identification before a transaction, contract, deal or whatsoever is finalized. All this waste of time driving or flying to each other’s offices or sending such documents by post can now be called history thanks to the legislative framework on electronic documents enacted by the EU and Aloaha’s software.

In the previous version of the Aloaha PDF Saver it was possible to save PDF Forms including the Form data as one PDF to disk. The new generation of the Aloaha PDF Saver now incorporates the free Aloaha PDF Reader which makes Aloaha independent of 3rd Party PDF Readers. Additionally the new Aloaha PDF Saver can be used as an alternative to other Free PDF Readers. The Aloaha PDF Reader is included as ActiveX/OCX for better integration into existing solutions.

As an extra security measure the Aloaha PDF Saver is now able to convert any PDF Form into flat text. Such flattened PDF Forms are sealed in such a way to appear as a normal PDF with the exception that they are now sealed and therefore not editable anymore.

Add and edit Text Form Fields
The Aloaha PDF Saver is able to add or edit Text Form Fields of existing PDF Documents thus allowing the user to convert any PDF Document into a PDF Form. With a double click on such a Text Field the field properties such as printable, position, size and font can be changed. With disabling the Text Field property printable this feature is the ideal tool to annotate existing PDF Documents.

Digitally Sign PDF Forms
Aloaha’s software does not require a signature field to sign. Aloaha can sign any PDF Document and/or Form with a user’s digital certificate. Multiple signatures to countersign documents are also possible. SmartCards are supported natively or via Microsoft Crypto Service Provider (CSP).

Additional benefits
It took around three months of hard developing time to be able to include the Aloaha PDF Saver also as a Form Reader/Saver ActiveX/OCX. This Form Saver ActiveX is installed automatically with Aloaha to enable it to be integrated into the customers’ applications, solutions and websites.
For government agencies it is also possible to save the Aloaha PDF Saver license directly inside the PDF Form itself. Such “Aloaha Enabled” PDF Forms can be opened, filled and saved with the free version of the Aloaha PDF Form Saver thus removing the additional burden to supply clients with form saving capacities.

Aloaha PDF Saver works on all 32 Bit Windows Platforms such as Windows NT4, Windows 2000, Windows 2003, Windows XP and Windows Vista.

Pricing starts at 39 Euro / 49 USD +VAT per Desktop.
