Wal-Mart Sponsors Gary Hamel As Keynote Speaker
At WPO International Conference

NEW YORK – Marsha Firestone, president of the Women Presidents’ Organization (WPO) announces that Gary Hamel will be the Wal-Mart keynote speaker at the WPO 2006 Annual Conference on April 27–29 at the Ritz-Carlton in Chicago. Hamel will speak on resilience and its major impact on business. The conference encourages WPO members to share business strategies and experience with other successful women from all over North America, as well as learn from interactive seminars and speakers.

Author of Leading the Revolution, Hamel is the founder of Strategos, a worldwide innovation consultancy; director of the Woodside Institute, a non-profit research organization; and visiting professor of strategic and international management at the London Business School. Hamel serves as an advisor to CEOs, boards and governments. He is a member of the Global Business Network, a fellow of the World Economic Forum and a member of the board of the Strategic Management Review.
