"One Fantastic Summer," is a thrilling historical fiction that will take readers on a high-flying journey filled with mystery, action, and friendship. The book introduces readers to a trio of adolescent boys in Southeast Virginia who stumble upon an extraordinary secret: the location of a real-life flying saucer, a relic of the Cold War. Their long-missing grandfather, secretly a key player in the original coverup, has been sending them coded clues to find the craft. With the help of their science teacher and a master inventor, the boys track down the saucer in an abandoned building, perfectly preserved and ready for flight.

What follows is an unforgettable summer of adventure. The boys take to the skies in their newly discovered Canadian VZ-9 flying disc, evading the law, skydiving, and even flying a phone booth. Their journey culminates in a heart-pounding showdown against the fury of a powerful Atlantic hurricane.
