About the Author
Nancy Jurkovic, a proud native of Cortland, Ohio, is no stranger to the joys of childhood. As the middle child of seven siblings, she grew up constantly surrounded by little ones and often caring for them. Her experiences inspired a lifelong love of storytelling, particularly through poetry written for and about children.

Drawing on her roles as a mother and grandmother, Jurkovic's poems reflect the humorous and insightful moments she has shared with her grandson James, bonus grandchildren Catelyn and Braylen, and daughters Jaquie and Jessica.

In addition to writing, Jurkovic channels her creativity into making personalized greeting cards for all occasions. After a 50-year career in banking, serving as both manager and personal banker, she also dedicated time to teaching financial literacy in local schools through programs like Junior Achievement.

When she's not writing or crafting, Jurkovic enjoys gardening, cooking with homegrown ingredients, sewing, crocheting, and fishing on Lake Erie. A devoted animal lover, she also feeds and shelters local feral cats and delights in watching her backyard hummingbirds.
