On September 11, 2001, Al-Qaeda launched the most devastating terrorist attack on American soil-until now. In his chilling thriller about Al-Qaeda and nuclear terrorism, author Sheldon Filger describes a plot by Osama bin Laden for the next attack on the United States, which could kill millions. At the center of the plot is Al-Qaeda's plan to build a powerful nuclear device, and smuggle it into the United States. It's ultimate target is New York City.

Though "King of Bombs" is a novel about nuclear terrorism, the author of this terrifying thriller believes that nuclear terrorism is a realistic danger facing the United States, the next time Al-Qaeda chooses to strike.

"Many experts who have seriously studied the threat of nuclear terrorism believe that it is very likely to happen within the next several years, unless the American government and people take this growing danger far more seriously," Filger said. In his opinion, the apathy of the public towards the threat of future Al-Qaeda attacks on the United States utilizing weapons of mass destruction-WMD-translates into relegating the safeguarding of the homeland into a very low priority for the government.

"Unless the public develops a greater awareness of the danger, and translates that awareness into pushing Congress towards raising this acute national security threat to a far higher level of prioritization, we are all likely to witness an American Hiroshima, then ask ourselves the day after, why did we not do everything possible to prevent it," warned the author of "King of Bombs."
