Addiction Help Services (AHS) was founded to assist drug and alcohol addicted persons, and the families and loved ones of addicted persons, become educated on all aspects of addiction and to get the road to recovery by connecting them with drug and alcohol addiction treatment centers, as well as recovery support groups.

AHS draws upon an extensive database of over 12,000 drug and alcohol rehab centers throughout the United States to provide free referrals to help people locate the one that is best for them, a family member or a friend.

According to a recent National Survey on Drug Use and Health, approximately 46% of addicts felt that felt they needed treatment claimed that they simply weren’t ready, which topped the list of reasons why people didn’t get the drug or alcohol rehab help that they needed. This accounts for more than half a million Americans every year.

Performing interventions is an area of expertise for the professional staff at Addiction Help Services, many of whom have also overcome some type of substance abuse.

While some experts claim that if addicts are not ready then you can't help them, but this is only true to a certain degree. Often some type of intervention can be done to motivate the addict to seek help. Examples of this could be a family, law enforcement or judicial intervention or simply the right person educating them about what's truly going on with them to help bring a greater understanding to the situation and offer the right help to get them out of their desperate situation.

“We provide a unique element to helping individuals and families with substance abuse issues,” says Eric Mitchell, co-founder of AHS. “We can assist people in many phases of the recovery process and some our own advancements in life serve as an example that brings hope for better days ahead. We know that addiction can be overcome and want to see people live drug-free and happy.”
