ShowPals Presents Hot New Production Shows for Vegas & Cruise Ships

ShowPals International (producer of cabaret and Las Vegas-style revues) has teamed with American Creative Entertainment (ACE) to produce five new stage shows - Cirque Cabaret, Comedy Cavalcade, Sizzle, Star Search Live, and Variety Girls - to debut in Chicago, Las Vegas, New York, Orlando, and at-sea during 2006 - 2007.

“Each production will feature world-class variety acts,” says Patrick James, Executive Producer. “Thanks to shows like Cirque du Soleil and reality TV, variety entertainment is more popular today than ever before!” “We will be presenting some of the most amazing, unique, and hilarious variety artists performing today,” adds Ray Dano of ACE, who will handle the casting.

While cutting-edge talent is featured, each show will be uniquely presented. Variety Girls, for example, will open with an old-fashioned television set airing the “Ed Sullivan” show. It vanishes in an explosion of smoke to reveal ultra-modern acro-dancers, and the host of the all-girl variety revue. It’s billed as “Ziegfeld Follies meets MTV!”

Star Search Live is a talent showcase similar to that seen on television in which singers, comedians, dance teams, fashion models, and novelty acts compete, with the audience selecting the winners in each category. But with a twist: all of the competitors will be top professionals.

Sizzle is a Las Vegas-style revue specially packaged for cabaret-style venues, with high-energy musical productions and exciting variety acts. “So often production shows are trapped in large rooms, with bulky sets and outrageous costs,” says James. “We have produced a show that can play in just about any room. Very important for cruise ships.”

Comedy Cavalcade is like an evening at a famous comedy club in New York, Chicago, Boston, or Los Angleles. It offers a line up of very funny stand-up comedians and comedy acts. The twist here is that this “club” travels: Comedy Cavalcade will play college and corporate events across America.

Cirque Cabaret is a ultra-modern cirque show featuring mesmerizing specialty acts and acro-dancers in a cabaret-style setting. “While big Cirque Productions are impressive, our aim is to bring the same brilliance into an intimate atmosphere,” explains James. Fittingly, Cirque Cabaret will debut in Chicago - a town famous for its cabaret history.

With five new productions to cast, Ray Dano is busy viewing showreels, and visiting faraway places. “Whenever I think I’ve seen every juggler, magician, acrobat, comedian, dancer, singer and musical act around, I remind myself that the best is still out there somewhere,” he says, “And then I keep looking. Because that’s what we will be presenting: The best!”
